Always catching up!
It seems that I am always playing catch up on here. It is like everything rolls along and next thing I know 2 months have past by. This summer my siblings and I hosted my parents my parents 25th wedding anniversary. It went really well with the exception of catching the table on fire with the chafing dish and it was freaking hot. None the less, we had a great time with all the family. We then had our normal 4th of July of the Frio River. I took some fun photos of the fireworks, a few of which you see here. After that, Blake started his first 3 weeks out rotation which has been going pretty good. I am missing him already, especially when the yard has to be mowed over and over because it has to be watered over and over. I am also taking summer school right now which is kicking my butt. I mean seriously it is a four week class, wiht 3 books, 3 tests, and a 10 page paper. I also celebrated my stepmoms 50th b-day a couple weekends ago. Again, see the picture. Lastely, I finished this past week off with a promotion. I did have to interview for it so it was not just a given but I am now the EMC for the City of Arlington, which puts me in the #2 position in Emergency Management in the City. Pretty cool if I do say so myself. My sister and family is moving back to Texas this next week which is super exciting, I have missed them so much. I know they are happy in Canada but I will be so happy to have them back here.

The Montgomery Clan
A week ago yesterday I picked up my three favorite Montgomery girls from the airport. I was lucky enough to get to spend 6 days with them at my home all alone! Despite the fact that 2 minutes after walking through the door it looked as though a tornado had blown through I love having them here. It is amazing to watch the girls grown and turn into people with their own style for life. We did a lot of activities while they were here including the Fort Worth zoo, dinner with an ex step mom, dinner with an aunt and cousins and some time with uncle Curtis. It has taken me two days of house cleaning to get my house back to normal and laundry done. I am sure I will continue to find splattered milk and what not for weeks to come! It is my understanding they are moving back to Texas and should hopefully be back by mid Aug. I am sad that I did not make it to Canada this year to see them and the beauty up there, however I am so happy to have them back and close. Blake will be home this week and then my siblings and I(for those who know all three of us know that means me) are throwing my parents a 25th anniversary party. It should be a good time and hope to have lots of family gathered. I know the Montgomery girls will have lots of fun that weekend hanging with their Uncle Blake!
Floating the Guadalupe
The weekend after Memorial Day we decided to go New Braunfels and float the Guadalupe River. Friends Josh and Jenna went along with us and Buck, an AD on Blakes old rig(yes old, I will get to that too). We pulled our trailer down there to avoid having to sleep in a tent and to allow for ac :)! Anyhow, it started a little rocky with the camp ground not giving me all the information I asked for and costing an additional $60. The first night we went to the Grist Mill for dinner then dancing at Gruene Hall. The next day we went and floated the Guadalupe River, this is a day I will never remember. Seriously, I don't think I have ever been so intoxicated that I absolutly can't remember a section of time but this day I did it! Thanks Buck for the new drink, you are right you can't even taste the Vodka in it! Anyhow, I woke with a pretty bad sunburn and some stories that are never to be mentioned! All in all, a good weekend though!!!!!
Blake Birthday!
I honestly thought I had already posted about Blakes birthday but apparently I have not. So, back in May(early May) Blake turned 30. I was able to pull off a fantastic surprise party with most immediate family members and good friends! He was genuinly surprised but what I had put together. We had a fantastic dinner at the Reata in Fort Worth and then went on to Pete's Piano Bar for a little more fun afterwards. I am attaching a couple of pictures from our weekend!

Rainy Days
It is a nice rolling thunder rainy day! I am getting to do a webinar from home so that is pretty nice. Woody is especially greatful due to his fear of thunder. I thought a nice cup of coffee would be good during this moment so I made a few cups left my meeting to grab a cup, poored in my milk and rushed back to the meeting. Without looking a took a big sip and now know that curdled coffee is pretty nasty. Apparently I need new milk. :) AWWWW I love days that start like this!!!!

More of Mexico
I have posted more pics from our vacation at htt://biddickpv.shutterfly.com. Here are a couple of my favorites from the ones we currently have. Blake left yesterday for work and went out to the rig today so I am home alone with the pups again. My mom came in last night for the evening on her way home from Jens but left this morning. Tomorrow is Friday and I am looking forward to a peaceful rainy weekend.

Blame it on Mexico!
Well, we made it back from Mexico all in one piece. We had a great time and it was an excellent way to disconnect from everything here at home and just chill out. We arrived Friday around noon and within a few hours I had managed to burn myself to a crisp. We spent the first day just hanging out on the beach and around the resort. The next day we spent most of the day on the beach, the boys went parasailing and then the four of us decided to ride the water banana which proved to be lots of fun however I came away with a small injury when the guys decided to dump us and Blakes elbow met my hip bone. That evening we went on a tour called Rhythms of the Night which was amazing. After a 1.5 hr boat ride(which was not so amazing) we arrived on a beach totally lit with candles and torches. We watched a Indian Wedding ritual show with great dancers and fire twirlers. We then had a candle lit dinner on the beach. We really enjoyed it, but didn't really enjoy the hour long boat ride back. We arrived back at our resort after midnight totally exhausted. Early the next morning we set off on another adventure. This time we were going to do the canopy tour so, after an hour truck ride through the ghetto of Puerto Vallarta we arrived in the Sierra Madre mountains and spent the next few hours doing zip lines from tree to tree. After returning from the canopy tour we spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach. Monday morning we checked out of the resort and headed to the market to do some shopping. We had great food and managed to buy some pretty neat stuff for "almost free". Of course as luck would have it our camera broke on Friday. So, I am waiting to have pictures of the trip sent to us. We did however purchase some photos from the canopy tour and they can be viewed at http://biddickpv.shutterfly.com. I will continue to add other photos when I get them!!!

Boring
I have come to the conclusion that my life is absolutley the most boring one out there. I have been sitting here staring at my blog thinking of something to write, however I can not come up with anything good enough to say or that even means anything to anyone. Blake will be home Thurs!! YEA!!!! Other than that, I got nothing!

White Hat
Blake emailed me to let me know that he received his white hard hat this hitch. This is very monumental for him, as a newbie, rookie, grunt, etc. on the rig he has to wear a orange hard hat. This indicates that you are new in your position. So, he is no longer the new one at this level. Ironically it seems that you strive to get an orange hat just as much as you strive to get your white hat. With a new orange hat would mean you have been promoted but then you are back to the newbie in the position. Anyhow, hope you all continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

4 months really???
My how time flies! I can't believe it has been 4 months since I last blogged. I promised myself I would be better at this and I will make that promise again. I envy my sisters ability to throw up a great story and pictures along with the two kids. Reading her life makes mine seem so boring and makes me wonder where my time really goes. I guess, a quick update on our world since my last blog.
November- We had Thanksgiving Dinner at our house, or course minus Blake because he had to leave out the day before. None the less we had my mom, brother, his girlfriend and roommate, blakes gma, cousin, her husband and two kids. Isn't the table beautiful?
December-My sister and her family came in for a couple weeks, which was fantastic. We all conveined at my parents house in Monahans, again Blake had to leave on xmas eve and that was hard but having the girls to play with made it better. Ryleigh, Blake and I also made a gingerbread house which was totally fun! They then came back to Arlington with me for a couple days before heading back to Canada.
January-We celebrated my birthday in Alpine which was great because I haven't been there in so long! We ate chicken tacos twice!!! WOOHOO!! The weather was decent and we just got to slow it down a bit! Which we totally need to do more often. My sister and I also met up with each other in New York City for a girls weekend which was so much fun. COLD, but fun! It is good to be adults and get to hang out like adults.
February-We spent Valentines weekend at the river, which made for another slow it down weekend. We then went to Kerrville for a night and did our best to knock out as much of grandmas to-do list as we could in 24 hrs. We also picked up Blake's desk, which is a gorgeous cedar desk that belonged to his grandfather. And looks stunning with the rest of our cedar furniture in our bedroom.
March-Earlier this month I traveld to Austin for a girls weekend for my friend Melissa's bachelorette party. We had a fantastic weekend, all girls doing all girl things! Much needed sometimes!
Blake left today for work. It always takes me a couple days to adjust and it leaves me with such a sense of empyness as I drive away from the airport. But, it will all be good in 14 days!
